It has been a while since Divya Khosla Kumar‘s short film Bulbul hit the web. Directed by Ashish Panda, the film has already garnered over 6 million views and is still going strong. For Divya, this is a new coming altogether since she started off as an actor more than a decade ago with Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo opposite none other than Akshay Kumar and then graduated to being a filmmaker with Yaariyan and Sanam Re .
While she is already working on picking up her next film as a director, she returned in front of the camera as an actress with Bulbul where she is seen in multiple looks. What is remarkable about her screen presence is the fact that she is appearing just like the same girl who was seen in her debut feature film more than 13 years ago.
Isn’t it about time she makes a comeback to the big screen too as a leading lady?
Smiles Divya, “Well, guess what, I have started getting offers now after doing Bulbul. I would be taking narrations soon. I am open to acting too if something exciting and challenging comes in. It is important for me to grow in this space. If there is an opportunity then I would do it.”
Meanwhile, what has been happening on the direction front?
“I had been working on a script but then I scrapped it. I am working on another script now. Last few months I had no time since I was making Bulbul. I would now get back to my script. I have to block two years of time for direction and then decide next steps accordingly. Rest assured, it would be another film with a lot of heart, just like it has been the case with both Yaariyan and Sanam Re,” signs off Divya.
