Gowariker to celebrate Jodhaa Akbar's 100 day run
By MovieTalkies.com, 22 May 2008

Even as director Ashutosh Gowraiker moves on to his next movie, What's Your Raashee, based on a Gujarati novel called Kimball Ravenswood written by Madhu Rye, his magnum opus Jodhaa Akbar has completed a run of 100 days.
It is believed that the makers of Jodhaa Akbar will be celebrating its successful run at a celebration on Saturday, which will be hosted by Gowariker and his wife Sunita. Besides Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who were the cynosure of every eye in the film, Jodhaa Akbar also gave the careers to actors like Sonu Sood and singer Illa Arun a major boost. Poonam Sinha, wife of Shatrughan Sinha, too received praise for her appearance in the film as Akbar's mother. But coming back to Gowariker's next film, it is believed that the ace director has picked up all the available copies of the novel from the stores so that one gets a whiff of the story. But it is believed that the book is still on the shelves at Gujarati books stores. Also, the novelist is believed to have gifted the book to many of his friends. So that still makes a lot of people who know the story of Gowariker's next. Even though Kimball Ravenswood is not believed to have done great business for the author, it did have a fairly decent run with Rye's fans. But now with Gowariker picking up the novel for his next film, we are sure that it is on its way to become a bestseller.
