Actor Rajiv Khandelwal is one of the latest actors to enter the arena of Hindi films. Hailing from Rajathan, this young actor (born October 16, 1975), first caught the public imagination with his role of the character of Sujal in the television serial Kahin To Hoga. His romantic track opposite co-star Aamna Shariff, also led to him being linked with her off-screen. While the serial was at its peak, the actor took the daring step of quitting the show. Khandelwal then went on to act in other soaps, like Time Bomb, CID, Deal Ya No Deal and Left Right Left. Disillusioned with TV, the actor looked towards Bollywood and landed a role in a film called Aamir, directed by debutant Raj Kumar Gupta. The film won rave reviews for its actor and director and has been considered among the most promising films of the year 2008. A little known fact about the actor is that he was a documentary filmmaker and has written some 30 films on subjects as varied as the army and women labour, aired usually on DD. Before he found his place under the sun, the actor has also flirted with modelling, doing commercials like LML bikes, Gilbleys Green Label Whisky, Videocon refrigerators, Kodak, etc. The actor will next be seen in a film called Peter Gaya Kaam Se.
